Wow. August passed. I was suppose to post this before the fights, But it didn' happen... (damn.)
This was suppose to be my pre-fight views, a quick thought on what I think in general of the fighters, the bout, and the one i favored. I was going to begin doing this for upcoming fights that seem interesting to watch... (expect another blog soon..... believe, please.)
These Bouts have passed. The dust has settled.

Roy Jones Jr. Vs. Jeff Lacy
Mr. 1990's, Jones Jr., (53-5, 39 KOs) is still on the come up after unanimous decision loss against Joe Calzaghe, (I don't understand how Jones Jr. just gave it away. Jones Jr. dropped him in the first and didn't even box after. He didn't show his stylistic offense, Maybe he just doesn't have it anymore..) Jones Jr's career in question, set up a tune up bout against zombie-like Omar Sheika in March. Jones Jr. did demonstrate he still had the stylistic offense he's known for. He out classed him, TKO'd in the 5th and was called out by Jeff Lacy, (25-2, 17 KOs) who's on the come up as well after losing to Jermaine Taylor. I think Jones Jr. is getting a little old.. He's still quite quick though for an old age. He thinks he can still be on top. I have to see it to believe it. Lets see.
(Fight Conclusion- I didn't catch the fight..but..of what I read, Jones Jr. beat that ass. Lacy retired in beginning of the 11 Round. Score was lopsided favoring Jones Jr. )
Nonito Donaire Vs. Rafael Concepcion
'The Filipino Flash' Donaire, Known as the next Pacquiao, (21-1,14 KO's) Currently ranked #7 on Ring Magazine's Pound For Pound list goes against his toughest challenge. Moving up in weight to Super Flyweight (115 Lbs.) for the WBA interim Championship against Panamanian Rafael 'El Torrito' Concepcion (13-3-1, 8 KO's). Im for The Filipino Flash. Donaire seems to throw his punch like his a miniature Mike Tyson. Its looks so quick and light, but its a bomb when a lands. His last bout against previously undefeated Raul “The Cobra” Martinez, Donaire showed that power, knocking him down three or four times. Donaire plans to keep moving up weight as his comrade Pacquiao to prove he also a force from the Philippines.
(Fight Conclusion- This fight was going to be hard one for Donaire. Concepcion came in at 119 ½ pounds. Not making weight, he was fined a hefty amount by the WBA and not given the option of receiving the interim championship if he won. As the fight began, Donaire immediately felt the power of the Panamanian left and right dazing him. The weight difference obviously causing the power to be quite different then a Super Flyweight, Donaire changed plans. The Flash bounced around and boxed, pretty much the whole fight landing clean, precise shots. Paul Malignaggi Vs. Juan Diaz
As Top Rank promoter Bob Arum labeled fight “The Battle of The Losers”, Which it is/was..., Paulie “Magic Man” Malignaggi (26-2, 5 KO's) Is a boxer with a different sort of style. In his last fight, he got banged around by Ricky Hatton, before the Manny Pacquiao bout. His trainer came out in who knows what round to stop the abuse. And Malignaggi threw a fit...He's fucking weak. (Or else he acts like it.) He doesn't got power in his punch, talks way too much in which he isn't and in the fight with Hatton, He didn't do what he was suppose to do, to BOX. Juan “Little Bull” Diaz, (34-3, 17 KO's) fights like warrior though. This man demonstrated he can throw a punch and has the hunger like a real boxer should have. (For Blood.) But, the showing of his losses shows he lacks Ring IQ. He was stopped by Mexican great Juan Manuel Marquez in his previous bout, which was a thriller.

When Diaz was stunned, He didn't know how to clinch. and Marquez's precision shots and creative combinations put him out. Even though he was out classed by a older, experienced fighter, he still has what it takes to come up back in the picture of Lightweights or even Junior Lightweights.
(Fight Conclusion- Wow. This damn fight cause so much commotion. And my feelings have changed a toward Malignaggi. Definitely. When watching the fight, I didn't expect seeing such a dominant fight plan coming from Malignaggi and the lack of plan coming from Diaz. Changing his trainer after the fight with Ricky Hatton, Malignaggi came with the boxing effect. It was a refreshed and defined Magic Man, landing jab jab jabs. He came quick with offense and jumped around, avoiding toe to toe exchanges with his opponent. Diaz though, when he came close, he would land those heavy shots that would knock the sweat off of Malignaggi and get the San Antonio crowd wilded up. As the fight progressed though, The Magic Man swagger tainted the Little Bull's style, and the way I saw it, it was about 7 rounds to 5 for Malignaggi. But when the scores were read out,...Wow. They fucked that shit up. Diaz wins by Majority decision.)
